Felix “Cat” Smith age 82 of Cave City died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Cave City Nursing Home. He was born August 9, 1933 at Harrisburg, Arkansas to William Henry and Dellar Britnell Smith. He was a construction worker having worked several years for Fluor Daniels and was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed gardening, raising cattle, woodworking, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Eastside Southern Baptist Church in Cave City. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Lushen Smith, Larkin Smith, Merdie Smith and Pete Smith and three sisters, Genora Powers, Julia Barker and Annette Qualls. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Norma Smith of the home; two daughters, Ann Holley of Batesville and Saundra Smith Allen of Evening Shade; one brother, Foster Smith of Warren; three grandchildren, Aaron Holley of Maumelle, Courtney Allen and Chaney Allen both of Evening Shade; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Matt Donnell officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Gary Tackett, Sam Collins, Tim Smith, Will Smith, Jeff Smith and Chris Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Gerber, Ebbie Shreve, Pete Ring, James Ring and The Staff of Cave City Nursing Home.
