Ralph C. Lewis Jr. age 59 of Batesville died Thursday October 22, 2015 at his home. He was born May 24, 1956 at Peoria, Illinois to Ralph Clois Lewis Sr. and Sarah Adeline Wece Lewis. He was a retired barber having worked in Fairfield Bay and owned a barber shop on Main Street in Batesville. He enjoyed reading books, particularly spiritual books and Bible commentaries, watching movies and listening to music. He also enjoyed sports and was an avid Razorback fan. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother, Ralph Wayne Lewis. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Biggers Lewis of the home; one son Elijah Lewis of Batesville; his mother, Sarah Ewers of Mountain Home; three brothers, Rick Lewis and wife Sally of Floral, Rhandy Lewis and wife Judy of East Prairie, Missouri and Ray Lewis and wife Leslie of Mountain Home; three sisters, Carol Langanis and husband Paul of Peoria, Illinois, Rhonda Kraus of East Peoria, Illinois and Angela Lewis of Sesser, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Craig Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan- Britt Cemetery located at Spring Mill with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will Monday, October 26, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Byron Skinner, Jake Lewis, Clift Lewis and Marcus Lewis. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Muhammad A. Khan and Dr. Douglas D. Bernard.
