Gerald A. Howard age 74 of Lynn died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at his home. He was born November 13, 1940 at Lynn, Arkansas to Paul Attison and Mabel (Nichols) Howard. He retired as the operator of the Phillips 66 Station in Lynn, served in the Army Reserve. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the NRA. He enjoyed making turkey calls as a hobby. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Annieville, where he served as a greeter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Betty Howard of the home; two sons, Taylor Howard of Black Rock and Robert Howard of Lynn; one daughter, Ginger Bratcher of Smithville; one brother, Bobby Howard of Strawberry; two sisters, Pauletta Anderson of Sulphur Rock and Kay Durham of Strawberry; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church located at Annieville with Jerry Clements and Scotty Howard officiating. Eulogy will be by Curt Howard and testimonial by Gary Brannon. Burial will follow in the Dry Creek Cemetery located at Lynn with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Gary Brannon, Mike Anderson, Brandon Harris, James Allan Anderson, Nathan Howard and Charles Penn. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Deeter, Jerry Goodwin, Dean Harris, Terry Melton and Randy Anderson.
