Steve Holman age 66 of Batesville died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at a Batesville hospital from complications of cancer. He was born October 7, 1949 at Little Rock, Arkansas to John Edward and Geneva (Elrod) Holman. He worked for Arkansas Power and Light for 25 years, worked for National Welding and retired from the Southside Water Department. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Christopher John Holman; a brother, Danny Holman and three sisters, Millie Houston, Doris Tracey and Shirley Burroughs. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Mary Ann Holman of the home; two daughters, Ashley Hoff and husband David of Indianola, Iowa and Carolyn Sanders and husband Jerod of Pleasant Plains; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Foust of Ida; a sister, Neva Farzar and husband, Parris of San Ramon, California; six grandchildren, Kenley Holman, Christopher Holman, Brayden Sanders, Kaitlyn Sanders, Cameron Hoff and Carson Hoff; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Curt Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Egner Cemetery located at Salado with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mark Carlson, Niem Nguyen, Joey Sample, Cody Sample, Beau Lamons, Shawn Hastings, Doug Crawford and Christopher Holman. Honorary pallbearers are his nephews.
