Leo “Randolph” Williams age 97 years, 2 months and 14 days died Wednesday December 2, 2015 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born September 18, 1918 at Oneal, Arkansas to John Allen Williams and Mattie Jane Harmon Williams. He married Irene Rowlett Williams in 1946 in Greenbriar, Arkansas and they were married for 69 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII, having served his country for four years. He worked 24 years for the GSA (General Services Administration) in the Batesville Post Office and retired in 1981. He was a faithful member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ for 64 years and served as an Elder for several of those years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and loved his family very much. He enjoyed studying the Bible, hunting, fishing and gardening. He raised many bird dogs over the years and was happiest spending time in God’s great outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ross Williams, Warren Williams, and Earl Wayne Williams and two sisters, Raye McSpadden and Noble Lee Files. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Irene Rowlett Williams of the home; two sons, Randall R. Williams and wife Lois of Charlevoix, Michigan and Dan R. Williams and wife Susan of Batesville; four grandsons, Randall R. Williams II of Oxford, Michigan, Trevor J. Williams of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jason D. Williams of Conway and Jonathan S. Williams of Texarkana, Texas; one step grandson, Brent Weaver of Prairie Grove; one step granddaughter, Holly Judd of Little Rock; five great grandsons, Randall Williams III (Trey), Lincoln Williams, Canton Williams, Whit Williams and Jude Williams; three great granddaughters, Payden Williams, Tarryn Williams and Jillian Williams; one step great grandson, Jax Judd; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Central Avenue Church of Christ with Royce Pendergrass and Brian Keller officiating Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery located at Bethesda with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, December 4, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jason D. Williams, Jonathan S. Williams, Trevor J. Williams, Randall R.Williams II, Brent Weaver and Holly Judd. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Smithee, Philip Couch, Donald Boles, Carlos Smith, Bill Kimmer, Paul Mitchell, Dr. Bill Goodin, Henry Jones, Dr. Robert Emery, Dr. Seth Barnes and Dr. Steve Alexander.
