Billy Lawrence Williams age 79 passed away on Tuesday December 8, 2015 at a Batesville hospital. He was born on December 13, 1935 to Henry and Suzie Williams. He was a lifetime resident of Evening Shade. He was a member of First Baptist Church at Evening Shade. He served as the Sharp County Tax Assessor for 10 years, was a cattle farmer, a truck driver and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers, Neil Williams, Tillman Williams, Tasso (Mutt) Williams, Remmel Williams and Leniel Williams. Survivors include his wife, Tommie Lou Williams of the home; two sons, Kelley Williams and wife Faye and Brent Williams all of Evening Shade; one daughter, Connie Fore and husband Wayne of Cherokee Village; four sisters, Betty Weaver of Cave City, Ernestine Slade of Evening Shade, Veta Smith and Annalee Thacker; three grandsons, Jeremy Fore and wife Amber of Cave City, Nick Houghton and Richard Houghton both of Evening Shade; four granddaughters, Andrea Davis of Cherokee Village, Angel Williams of Batesville, Shala Houghton of Evening Shade, and Bridget English of Jonesboro; four great grandchildren, Jacob Fore, Madelynn Fore, Jackson Davis and Ellie Davis; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Alvin Wiles and Bro. Larry Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery located at Zion with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Fore, Wayne Fore, Jacob Fore, Richard Houghton, Nick Houghton and Paul Slade. Honorary pallbearers are J.C. Qualls, Dowl Thomas, Dale Foley, John Wolfe, Kenny Love and Mike Sharp.
