Tommy Newman Pierson

Tommy Newman Pierson age 69 of Evening Shade died Monday, December 14, 2015 at a Batesville hospital. He was born February 8, 1946 at Evening Shade, Arkansas to C.C. and Edna Ray Thomas Pierson. He was a construction worker and worked for the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department for several years. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Christopher Pierson. Survivors include one son, Nick Pierson of Batesville; one daughter, Sarah Pierson of Franklin; his mother Edna Pierson; two sisters, Annabelle Girtman of Cave City and Lavern Treadway of Batesville; two grandchildren, Kyler Matheny of Greenbriar and Porter Burton of Franklin; two nephews, Dustin Treadway of Batesville and Kevin Girtman of Benton; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Cemetery located at Evening Shade with Bro. Larry Weaver officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No visitation is planned.
