Mary Lenora “Lee” Lewis age 85 passed away at home with her daughter and her beloved dog Sweetpea at her side in Cave City, Arkansas on Sunday, February 7, 2016. She was born along the Mississippi River in Tomato, Arkansas on Thursday, August 7, 1930. She was one of eight children born to James and Onnie Lois Wigginton. She attended school in Osceola. In 1947 Lee married her husband, Donald Earl Lewis, and they were married for 64 years until he passed away in 2012. Don retired from the U.S. Navy so they had traveled extensively. They moved back to Arkansas in 1973. Lee was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, country and gospel music, cooking, her flower beds, bird and animal watching, sewing, crocheting, flea markets, collecting cookie jars, league bowling, water aerobics and playing cards. She was a member of the Chinquapin Church of Christ for many years, and in recent years the Antioch Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and three sisters, Margaret Virginia Wigginton, Shirley Ann Wigginton and Verna Louise Harston Flanagan. She is survived by her only child, Lois Marie Lewis of Cave City; two brothers, James Wigginton of Okeechobee, Florida and John Wigginton of Cave City; two sisters, Jeanne Pickett Hoff and Alice Pendergrass of Cave City; several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February, 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Antioch Church of Christ located southeast of Cave City with Royce Pendergrass and Troy Henley officiating. Song leaders will be Sam Gates and Bill Hoff. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No visitation is planned. Pallbearers will be David Wigginton, Lee Wigginton, Curtis Goodrich, Don Henley, Pete Henley and Buddy Henley. Honorary pallbearer is Clara Henley.
