Iva Jewel Campbell, 93 of Cave City died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Cave City Nursing Home. She was born June 12, 1922 at Evening Shade, Arkansas to Robert Carroll and Della (Barnett) Kent. She was a homemaker, business owner and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City for over 70 years. She and her husband owned and operated “Campbell’s Mercantile Co.” on Main Street in Cave City from 1953-1974. She cherished her family and loved reading the Bible. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Ernest James Campbell; son, Kent Anthony Campbell; brothers, Noah Kent, Darris Kent, Ben Kent and Wasson Kent; and sisters, Gracie Kent Vance, Edna Kent Lassiter, Ethel Kent Bray, Olene Kent Lackner and Lillian Kent Johnson. Survivors include daughters, Janny Brewer and husband Mitchel of Cave City and Gail Case and husband Houston of Salem; grandchildren, Kristy Poe of Beebe, Chad Case of Salem, Jonas Anderson of Cave City and Joanna Appleget of Cave City; great grandchildren, Madelyn Poe and Molly Poe of Beebe, Julian Anderson and Jasper Anderson of Cave City; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Jonas Anderson, Tim Appleget, Mitchel Brewer, Chad Case, Ted Hopkins and Adam Poe. Honorary pallbearers are members of her church Sunday School Class.
