Jane Branscum, 80 of Batesville died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at a Batesville hospital. She was born December 29, 1935 at Newark, Arkansas to George Carl and Mary Jane Keller Tripp. She was retired from White Rodgers in Batesville, was an avid reader and volunteered at the Oil Trough Food Pantry. She was a member of the Moorefield United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debbie Acklin; brother, George Tripp; and sister, Tula Dickey. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Richard Branscum of the home; daughter, Janie Blaxton of Salado; seven grandchildren, Terry Blaxton. Susan Rolland, Tim Blaxton, Samantha Blaxton, Twyliah Acklin, Shelley Pfitzner and Ramona Hubbard; fourteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salado Baptist Church with Bro. Barrett Beyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery at Newark with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tylor Thompson, Austin Thompson, Skyler Mitchell, Tim Blaxton, Dillon Rolland and Brandon Rolland. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Branscum, Rusty Branscum, Jim Branscum and Johnny Branscum.
