Maggie Brown age 66 of Nelsonville died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at a Batesville hospital. She was born October 8, 1949 at Tensas Parish, Louisiana to Elzie and Geneva (Albert) Jiles. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Myron Brown of the home; sons, George Brown and wife Rachel of Jacksonport, Wayne Brown and wife Heidi of Nelsonville and Marvin Brown and wife Paige of Newark; daughter, Geneva Hall and husband Scott of Rye, Colorado; brothers, Wade Jiles of Pollock, Louisiana and Layton Jiles of Vidalia, Louisiana; sisters, Jean Prather and Vonda Linder both of Vidalia, Louisiana and Mateline Chandler of Jonesville, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Phillip Lewallen officiating. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery located at Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Marcus Hembrey, Jared Russell, Colby Gregory, John Blazer, Robert Arnold and John Eddington. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Shelley, Kenneth Coats, Ronald Brown, Lester Betts and Ernie Jewel.
