Cora Moody

Cora Moody age 82 of Southside died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 19, 1933 at Calico Rock, Arkansas to Irvin and Arlie Birdsong. She was retired from GenCorp Automotive in Batesville and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Southside. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Horace Moody; one son, Joseph Moody; two brothers, Billy Ray Birdsong and Harvey Birdsong; two sisters, Myrtle Birdsong and Daisy Harris and one grandson, Joseph Moody II. Survivors include two sons, Horace Moody and James Moody; two daughters, Kathyleen Haughom and Mary Wade all of Southside; one sister, Julie Mae Upton of West Plains, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery located at Bethesda with Bro. Ross Sturch officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Amos Moody, Jacob Moody, Buzz Boozy, Allen Chavers, Jesse Dorris and Lucas Jansky. Honorary pallbearer is John Boozy.
