Donald Lee “Don” Stitcher, 66 of Cave City died Monday, June 20, 2016 at his home. He was born July 20, 1949 in Alameda, California to Ernest and Cendie Frazier Stitcher. He worked for the Batesville Daily Guard for 39 years and retired as production manager, was an avid drag racer and a member of the Cave City Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Europe C Battery 5th Battalion. He was honorably discharged with a National Defense Service Medal. He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents, Dennis and Mary Ethel Stitcher, Lemuel Freeman and Pearlie Elizabeth Dearing Frazier. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Rosanne Marie Stitcher of the home; one son, Jimie Stitcher and wife Sherrie of Joplin, Missouri; one daughter, Tricia Stitcher of West Memphis; his father, Ernest Stitcher; two brothers, David Stitcher of Marysville, Ohio and Randy Stitcher of Sardis, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Ashleigh M. Wallace and Kaiden L. Stitcher both of West Memphis, Kalina C. Stitcher and Demirae H. Allen both of Fontana, California; one great grandchild, Destiny J. Rodriguez of Fontana, California; several aunts, uncles,cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cave City Church of Christ located in Cave City with Dean Fugett officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Ed Niemeyer, Dean Hastings, Jeral Hastings, Michael Pollard, Marc Walling and Barry Wilkes.
