Birteen Simpson Kerr, 92 of Cave City died Thursday, June 23, 2016. She was born November 10, 1923 at Grange, Arkansas to Marvin C. and Annie Hoggard Simpson. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church at Cave City. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Laman Kerr. Survivors include one son, Keith Kerr (Shelley) of Oregon; three daughters, Mary Jane McSpadden and Annettea Shreve (Darrell) both of Cave City and Florena Weaver (Terry) of Georgia; two sisters, Glindeen Cowan and Elizabeth Gaither both of Cave City; eleven grandchildren, Scott McSpadden, John McSpadden, Michael McSpadden, Chris Shreve, Eric Shreve, Joseph Weaver, Kelley Bokros, Alan Kerr, Andrew Kerr, Megan Sams, Rebekah Lepage; seventeen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church at Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard and Bro. Daniel Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery located west of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John McSpadden, Scott McSpadden, Alan Kerr, Chris Shreve, Eric Shreve and Joseph Weaver. Honorary pallbearers are Michael McSpadden, Andrew Kerr and Jay Bokros.
