Jackie P. Nast, 64 of Batesville died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at his home. He was born July 7, 1951 at Batesville, Arkansas to Jack E. and Minnie Coleman Nast. He worked in automotive and automotive parts sales for many years and was a devout Chevy fan. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Roy and Pearl Nast and Wilby and Margie Coleman. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Debbie James Nast of the home; sons, Eric Nast (Stephanie), Jackson Nast and Joseph Nast (Brandie) all of Batesville; mother, Minnie Nast of Batesville; brother, Mike Nast (Glenda) of Pleasant Plains; grandchildren, Solomon Nast and Jenna Nast both of Batesville and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Billy Scroggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located at Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, July 8, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ed Gardner, Walter Reed, Daniel Wallace, Eric Reed, Jeff Brewer and Tommy Clark. Honorary pallbearers are Dwane Thompson, Dave Brewer, Les Thomas, Greg Ade, Ray Knatcal, Tommy Smith and members of The River City Cruisers.
