Willie Gene Oyler, 86 of Ash Flat died Monday, August 15, 2016 at Eagle Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation . He was born August 24, 1929 at Ash Flat, Arkansas to Bill and Rosie (Rogers) Oyler. He was a janitor at the Ash Flat Schools in his early years, next he surveyed lots and roads when Cooper Communities started in 1958. He then bought out Cooper Communities and started Village Surveying. He was a former member of the Highland School Board. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda Mae (Davis) Oyler; a son, Dewey Gene Oyler and a brother, Wilford Oyler. Survivors include his daughter, Carrol Gilbreath and husband Denny of Ash Flat; two grandchildren, Austin Gilbreath and wife Jessie of Ash Flat and Beverly Rogers and husband Rob of Agnos; two great grandchildren, Gabe Rogers and Whitley Rogers of Agnos; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Johnny Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiles Cemetery located at Ash Flat. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Richard Bradley, Ricky Davis, Rex Nicholson, Dustin Rogers, Gene Moore and Gary Rogers.
