Jim Lovell, 79 of Newark died Thursday, September 8, 2016 at his home. He was born December 7, 1936 at Oil Trough, Arkansas to William Russell Lovell and Edith Pearl Parmer Lovell. He was a cattle rancher, real estate agent and Charter Member of the Newark Southern Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harold Dean Whisnant and Bobby Lee Lovell. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sylvia Russell Lovell of the home; sons, Russell Keith Lovell of Newark and Jimmy Todd Lovell of Magness; daughter, Selina “Sissy” Kay Lovell Heaslet of the home; nine grandchildren, Andy Lovell (Rachel), Jordan Cato, Christy Lovell, Justin Lovell, Natasha Lovell, Lindsay Limbaugh (Josh), Layton Lovell, Alison Heaslet and Shali Lovell; one great granddaughter, Sadie Elizabeth Lovell and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Newark Southern Baptist Church with Mitch Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located at Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service. Visitation will be Monday, September 12, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be his sons, Keith Lovell and Todd Lovell; his grandsons, Andy Lovell, Justin Lovell and Layton Lovell and special friend, Colby Ohlson
