Lester Ray Curl, 76 of Pleasant Grove died Saturday, October 22, 2016. He was born August 11, 1940 at Bald Knob, Arkansas to Joseph W. and Gertrude (Doris) Curl. He was a longtime salvage yard owner in Michigan and operated a wrecker service for 20 years before retiring to Florida. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lovone Curl, Eddie Curl and Raymond Curl; sister, Elizabeth Woods and great granddaughter, Tacari Briggs. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Emma Sue Curl; son, Billy Curl and wife Freda of Blytheville; daughter, Leslie Curl of North Little Rock; stepdaughter, Martha Cagle and husband Terry of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Pauline Holly of Jonesboro and Ruby Stone and husband Bud of Mountain View; sister-in law, Margie Curl of Round Rock, Texas; 2 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; 2 step-granddaughters; 3 great grandsons; several nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Funeral services will be Monday, October 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Don Fletcher officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Augusta Memorial Park in Augusta. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service. Visitation, Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 4:00- 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Curl, Eddie Curl, Billy Curl, Percy Williams, Larry Cook and Randy Crawford.
