Alamola E. Norris Morgan

Alamola E. Norris Morgan age 83 of Poughkeepsie departed this life on Monday, October 31, 2016 at her home. She was born July 23, 1933 at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Martin and Lockie M. Layne Norris. She married James Newton (Newt) Morgan on October 15, 1949. To this union three sons were born, Larry Gene Morgan, Thomas (Tommy) Dale Morgan and James Martin (Marty) Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Newt Morgan; a son Larry Gene Morgan; two brothers, Laman Norris and Boyd Dale Norris and a great granddaughter, Barbara Kay Meechan. Survivors include two sons, Tommy Morgan and wife Sheila of Poughkeepsie and Marty Morgan and wife, Glynette of Cave City; daughter-in-law, Sharon Morgan of Muskogee, Oklahoma; brother, Thomas J. Norris of Kansas; sisters, Alene Rush and Barbara Green both of Texas and Lynda Norris of Arkansas; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bettis Town Church of Christ with C.C. Baird officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kenny Morgan, Taggert Morgan, Trenton Morgan, Jessie Hall, Justin Wilson and Danny Denton. Honorary pallbearers are, Ronnie Goings, Danny Murphy, Rick Huckabee, Shirley Spurlock, Brenda Norris, Robert V. Baker, M.D., Julie Dozier, CMA and the members of the Bettis Town Church of Christ.
