Georgia Nichols Simpson age 86 of Evening Shade passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born August 28, 1930 at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Fred and Ruth (Duncan) Nichols. She was a member of the Piney Fork Church of Christ in Evening Shade. She loved her family, her church family and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jean Nichols Schnoetzinger. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Denzil Simpson; one son Bruce Simpson and wife Katherine of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Veta Johnson of Cherokee Village and Virginia Hume and husband James of Wichita, Kansas; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great great grandson and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Dwight Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday November 18, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
