David Boyd Bostock, 69 of Salado died Monday, November 28, 2016. He was born July 5, 1947 at Lincoln, Nebraska to Noah Boyd and Mildred Luella Hahn Bostock. He was retired from ConAgra Foods in Batesville and was a U.S. Marine Veteran having served in Vietnam. He attended the Southside United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Randall Boyd Bostock; brothers, Walter Bostock and Frank Bostock; sisters, Loretta Pikschus, Amy Brobst, Luella Allmon and Betty June Byers. Survivors include his wife, Edna Mae Wells Bostock of the home; sons, Christopher Bostock Bland and wife Julie of Texas and Matthew Boyd Bostock of Salado; daughters, Michelle Bostock Ramsey and husband James of Melbourne and Heather Grace Bostock of Pocahontas; sisters, Emma Jean Webb of Sherman, Texas, Mary Holfstad and husband Rolf , Grace Ann Martin and husband Chuck and Kathy Carroll and husband Tom all of California; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Southside United Methodist Church with Rev. Roger Hook officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Springs Cemetery located near Rosie with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Matthew Bostock, James Ramsey, Rick Webb, Michael Webb, Tom Carroll and Jim Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Rolf Holfstad, Chuck Martin, Michael Simpson, Christopher Bostock Bland, Richard Wells, Bennie White and Everett Boozer.
