Mildred Evelyn Bailey, 98, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from her home in Summerville, SC. She was born June 30, 1918 in Floral, Arkansas the daughter of the late Aubrey and Eppie Ferguson. She moved to Watervliet, Michigan from Arkansas living there for 43 years before moving to Summerville, South Carolina in 1999 to live with her daughter and son in law. She loved her Lord and her greatest joy was going to church, getting together with all her family every holiday, birthday and anytime, as well as playing the piano from an early age. She played for quartets and choirs and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in N. Charleston, SC. She is survived by a daughter, D. Katherine Bailey Osburn (Frank), sons, Norm Bailey (Sandy), Gary Bailey (Loretta), Don Bailey (Ying) and Dennis Bailey; a daughter in law, Sue Bailey, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Bailey; sister, Velda Fletcher; son, Harmond Bailey and 2 granddaughters. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Floral Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery located near Floral with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Norm Bailey, Gary Bailey, Don Bailey, Dennis Bailey, Matt Bailey, Chad Bailey and Shane Bailey.
