Joyce A. Helms

Joyce A. Helms age 64 of Pleasant Plains died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at a Little Rock hospital. She was born December 14, 1951 at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Fred and Ruby Stark Biggers. She was a homemaker and a member of the Flippo Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Joe Helms of Pleasant Plains; sons, Scott Helms and wife Karen of Harrison and Shane Helms and wife Karen of Searcy; brother, Freddie Biggers of Walnut Ridge; sister, Mary Moody of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Candace Helms, Brooke Helms and Hunter Helms; step grandchildren, Shakeita Davis and Brent Bennett and wife Amber; step great grandchild, Jaiden Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Flippo Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains with Dr. Terry Parrish and Keith Hays officiating. Burial will follow in the Townsend Cemetery located near Smithville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Danny Davis, Lewis Chandler, Steve Caughron, Jason Bailey, Brian Garrett and Keith Hays.
