Oscar Lee "Bud" Caldwell

Oscar Lee “Bud” Caldwell Jr., 74 of Arkadelphia died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at a Hot Springs hospital. He was born December 5, 1942 at Arkadelphia, Arkansas to Oscar Lee Caldwell Sr. and Verna Sue Moss Caldwell. He was retired from the Arkansas Army National Guard and currently employed by the Arkansas State Military Department. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Caldwell Smith and husband Chad of Batesville; one grandson, Braxton Lee Smith of Batesville; sisters, Jo Holland of Arkadelphia and Wana Hughes of Michigan; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Robert “Bob” Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Campground Cemetery at Bethesda.
