Novela Wilkins Puckett, 91 of Batesville died Tuesday, December 20, 2016. She was born January 13, 1925 at Cave City, Arkansas to William Marshal and Lee Ann (Jean) Wilkins. She was married to George Puckett on October 25, 1945. She was retired bookkeeper and homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Quail Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Puckett; three brothers, Neil Wilkins, Gene Wilkins and John Wilkins; one sister, Mabel Liles and grandson, Christopher Posey. Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Bennett and husband Bobby of Batesville and Donna Beth Smith and husband Huey of Newport; one sister, Glendon Turner of Cave City; three grandchildren, Robin Green of Batesville, Nancy Quirrels of Jonesboro and Joey Smith of Newport; one great grandchild, Tyler Koller Quirrels of Jonesboro; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Burl Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens located at Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, December 23, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be the Men of the Quail Valley Church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers are Joey Smith, Huey Smith, Bobby Bennett and Daniel Quirrels.
