Myron “Brownie” Brown, 69 of Smithville died Thursday, December 29, 2016. He was born January 13, 1947 at Newport, Arkansas to George and Rosie (Boone) Brown. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maggie Brown; one brother, Kenneth “Buck” Brown and one sister, Mary Roach. Survivors include three sons, George Brown and wife Rachel of Jacksonport, Wayne Brown and wife Heidi of Smithville and Marvin Brown and wife Paige of Newark; one daughter, Geneva Hall and husband Scott of Rye, Colorado; two brothers, Ronald Brown of Smithville and Edward Brown of Strawberry; four sisters, Ethel Barner of Tuckerman, Betty Shelly of Newport, Connie Prince of Newport and Kitty Jewel of Algoa; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery located at Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Wayne Brown, Marvin Brown, George Brown, John Blazer, Marcus Hembrey and Jeff Manuel. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Shelly, Ronald Brown, David Manuel and Jeffy Broyles.
