James Murphy Willmuth, 83 of Strawberry died Monday, January 16, 2017. He was born September 14, 1933 at Strawberry, Arkansas to Franklin Kenneth “Bud” and Mary Verna (Milligan) Willmuth. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and of the Baptist faith. He attended Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church at Cave City. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Brenda Moore and Pauline Howard. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carolyn James Willmuth of the home; daughter, Marsha Willmuth Penn and husband Jason of Lynn; sons, Mike Willmuth and wife Shanda of Strawberry and Marvin Kutzman and wife Joann of El Paso, Texas; brothers, F.K. Willmuth and wife Nina of Strawberry and Charles Willmuth and wife Colleen of Cave City; sisters, Johnnie Sue Ratliff and husband Willard of Conway and Mary Wanda Williams of Strawberry; grandchildren, Dilan Willmuth, Kamdyn Willmuth, Morgan Penn Harris, Jaden Penn, Tara Kutzman and Afton Check; great grandchildren, Bailey Mireles, Kylie Mireles, Geonni Mireles, Dannika Check, Bella Check and Jacoby Check; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church at Cave City with Bro. Kevin Cooper and Bro. Vance Penn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James Allen Anderson, Jerry Matheny, Danny Ratliff, Mark Ratliff, John David Howard and Jim Rex Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Derick Bell, Stevie Taylor, Frank Fowler, Joe Fowler, Randall Northcutt, T.J. Ladding, Eddie Witt, Aaron James, Dennis Smith, Jim Smith and Ronald Whitmire.
