Arlie Smith

Arlie Smith age 72 of Batesville died Wednesday, January 18, 2017. He was born May 28, 1944 at Hayti, Missouri to Hughie and Idell Russom Smith. He was a retired maintenance worker and a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He attended Batesville First Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Roy Smith, Jody Smith and Maynard Smith and three sisters, Lessie Branson, Mildred Marshall and Lola Smith. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wood Smith of the home; one step-son, Tony Wilson and wife Karen of Batesville; one step-daughter, Alicia Brister and husband Roy of Batesville; one brother, Carlie Smith of Patton, Missouri; one sister, Hilda Smith; four grandchildren, Abigail Addison, Hunter Addison, Turner Brister and Kylie Brister; three great grandchildren, Thomas Whitby, Leo Barnes and Vincent Gilmore and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Batesville First Assembly of God Church with Ross Marshall officiating.
