Gene "Geno" Nicklen

Gene “Geno” Nicklen, 86 of Batesville died Thursday, February 9, 2017. He was born July 20, 1930 at Omaha, Nebraska to Leroy and Opal Nicklen. He was retired from the Independence County Sheriff’s Office and had also worked at Sheriff’s Offices in Sharp and Arkansas counties. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Survivors include grandson, Gene Emerich and granddaughter, Christy Bryant both of Phenix City, Alabama; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
