LC Qualls, 76, finished his life’s race Tuesday, February 28, 2017. He was born January 10, 1941 in Evening Shade the son of the late Corbit Lee Qualls and Bertha Rogers Qualls. Moving to Little Rock after high school in 1959, LC worked at Gus Blass Dept. Store until he landed a job with the Arkansas State Employment Security Division. He labored there 44 years until retirement, and earned multiple commendations for excellence. LC loved westerns, country music, his Sunday School class and anything to eat. He believed in providing for his family, mowing his grass every Friday, and trusting Jesus for his salvation. LC kept money in his pocket, his barn out back immaculate, and as social secretary he kept Lynda on track. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynda Montgomery Qualls of Benton; his sister Linda Siebert, of Live Oak, TX; his daughter Theresa Qualls of Little Rock; his daughter Angela Qualls Moseley and her husband Tommy Moseley of Benton; his ‘daughter’ Maria Carpenter, and grandchildren Layten, Emma- Brynn, AubrieKate and Gresham Moseley. Visitation will be Saturday, March 4th, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Paul R. Sanders, Dave Hughey, and Max Pyron officiating. A graveside service will be at the Evening Shade Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Pallbearers will be Stan Chapman, Gerald Griffin, Bill James, David Ross, David Spillers, Bobby Tinkle and Larry Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Davis, Ross Higgins, Edd Lofton, Ed Rackley and Ted Stanton. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Arkansas Baptist Children’s Homes, Monticello, or St Francis House, Little Rock.
