Olen Johnson age 86 of Smithville died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at his home. He was born November 4, 1930 at Center, Arkansas to Clem and Vera Thomas Johnson. He was retired from the White River Medical Center in Batesville and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeffery Olen Johnson; two brothers, Roland Johnson and Plymouth Johnson and one sister, Vena Schmidt. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Doris Johnson of the home; four daughters, Shirley Brown of St. Louis, Missouri, Pamela Dasher of Boston, Massachusetts, Brenda Card of Collierville, Tennessee and Lisa Ferry of Rolla, Missouri; one sister, Edna Storey of Racine, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Buchanan Cemetery located near Center with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Monday, March 6, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dexter Ferry, John Brown, Ronnie Brown, Joseph Mesey, Christopher Wilmore and Shawnna Long.
