Susie V. Champlin, 94 of Cave City died Wednesday, March 8, 2017. She was born April 4, 1922 at Mossville, Arkansas to Thomas Jefferson and Pallie Martha (Youngblood) Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cave City Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh Rondall “Bill” Champlin; daughter, Virginia M. Bower; brothers, Marvin Harris, Lloyd Harris, Rufus Harris, Earl Harris, Jessie Harris, and Gene Harris and sisters, Eileen Manning and Dorothy Vanderpool. Survivors include sons, Harold R. Champlin of Cleveland, Texas, Bobby K. Champlin and Donald L. Champlin both of Anthem, Arizona; daughter, Phyllis F. Tuttle of Cleveland, Texas; brothers, James Harris of Arma, Kansas, Riley Harris and Edgar “Sonny” Harris both of Collins, Missouri; sister, Elvie Cain of Louisburg, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Stanley Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 13, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
