William Ray Burns, 20 of Cave City died Thursday, March 23, 2017. He was born January 23, 1997 at Blytheville, Arkansas. He was a great friend and always had a smile. He was friendly to everyone he met. He loved all his family and friends and was always there for them. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Bill and Beulah Norris and Mari Rougeou; grandmother, Tonie Norris and grandfather, Vester Burns Sr.; great aunts, Julia Perot and Elaine Pearson and cousins, Ashley Norris, Shelby Norris and Karson-Lee Norris. Survivors include his mother, Patty Norris of Cave City; his father and step-mother, Vester Burns Jr, and Dwona Burns of Strawberry; his girlfriend, Codi James of Cave City; sisters, Heather Burns of Cave City, Roxie Norris of Cave City and Stacy Vanscoder of Manila; brother, Dakota Norris of Cave City; grandparents, Billy Norris of Cave City and Lynn Trichel of Louisiana and William and Barbara Askue of Cave City; great grandfather, Olan Rougeou of Louisiana; aunts and uncles, Charles Burns of Cave City, Brian and Lisa Coles of Cave City, Rick and Lachelle Burns of Walnut Ridge and Tommy and Vicki Burns of Blytheville; nephews, Jackson Burns of Cave City, Hunter Cross of Cave City and Jaxon Vanscoder of Manila; niece, Karleigh Vanscoder of Manila; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Ira Brokaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No public visitation will be held. Pallbearers will be Dustin Norris, Tyler Norris, Bernabe Galan, Charles Norris, Rickey Norris and Felipe Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers are Randall Gilmer, Wesley Cheshier, Josh Vanscoder, Nick Prei, Russell Adams and Nick Adams.
