Madene White

Madene White, 80 of Batesville died Sunday, May 21, 2017. She was born March 15, 1937 at Batesville, Arkansas the daughter of Leroy Earls and Stellese Dean. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Lewis White and three sisters, Willie Jane Phillips, Glenda Ramey and Royce June Thornton. Survivors include one son, Jerry Overland of Batesville; one daughter, Sherry Landrum of Newport; one sister, Matilda Brown of St. Charles, Missouri; two grandchildren, Deidre Landrum of Jonesboro and Kendra Landrum of Dallas, Texas; one great grandchild, Braden Landrum of Jonesboro and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Batesville with Rev. Jerry Landrum officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Daniel Smith, Delbert Coburn, Jerry Brown, Jerry Ratliff, Levi Anders and Eddie Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Dylan Carpenter, Dr. Jordan Weaver, Dr. John Allgood, Dr. Raman Desikan, Phillip Farris, Jay Critz and Arthur Montgomery.
