Lois Taylor Meredith, 70 of Batesville died Friday, May 26, 2017. She was born January 16, 1947 at Batesville, Arkansas to William Milous and Florence Eloise Jackson Taylor. She was a full time farmer and cattle rancher and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a skilled seamstress and loved to cook for her family and her community. She was a member of the Independence Jackson Cattlemen’s Association. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” Meredith; three brothers, Lonnie Taylor of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Dr. Robert “Bob” Taylor of Jonesboro and Tom Taylor of Batesville; one sister, Judy Taylor Engles of Batesville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville with Danny Brightwell officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Monday, May 29, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brandon Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Jeremy Meredith, Dalton Taylor, Colton Taylor and Layton Lovell. Honorary pallbearers are Jill Taylor Roberts, Abby Taylor Kidd, Karen Taylor Steele, April Taylor, Don Henley, Kenny Turner, Glenn Blevins, Brenda Bruce, Boyce Foreman, Keith Lovell, Bobby Dunehew, Larry Carter, Tracy Grissom and Ken Emerson. Lois’s wishes were that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Oak Bluff Community Building Fund, C/O Judy Engles, Treasurer, 15 Northern Lane, Batesville, AR 72501 or to plant a tree in her memory.
