J.C. Caraway, 85 of Sidney died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home. He was born February 25, 1932 at Lafferty, Arkansas to Homer and Myrtle (Clark) Caraway. He was a cattle rancher and dozer operator. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Wayne Caraway. Survivors include his wife Veda (Tosh) Caraway of the home; three daughters, Jamie Caraway and Sharon Kinion both of Cushman and Kayrene Caraway of Batesville; brother, D.B. Caraway of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren, Megan Frock of Lead Hill and Cagney Davenport of Pleasant Plains; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday June 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery located near Cushman. Visitation will be Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kerry Caraway, Chris Caraway, Nathan Caraway, Jeremy Ratliff, L.C. Spurlock and Anthony Skelton.
