Burt Power, 80 of Cave City died Saturday, July 8, 2017 while feeding his horse. He was born August 8, 1936 at Colfax, California to Eugene and Mary Power. He was a cattle rancher and a United States Marine Corps Reserve Veteran. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Batesville. He was a Mason and a member of Curia Lodge #144, Center Lodge #402 and Order of Eastern Star Ruth Chapter #91. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Diane Power of the home; son, Bobby Power (Veronica) of Sulphur Rock; daughters, Sabrina Williams (David) of Beebe, Rhea Jennings (Terry) of Sulphur Rock and Mary Turner Lee of Greenbrier; brother, John Power of Dietrich, Idaho; sister, Donna Coughlin of Folsom, California; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Father Jim McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the James Cemetery at the Cedar Grove Community with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tyler Hatch, Toby Hastings, Brad Huff, Kelly Holloway, Dean Addis, Floyd Murphree, Gary Murphree and Travis Turner. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Hastings, Donald Fox, Wilson Holman, John Michael Adcox, Danny Rogers, Jacob Wallace and All Masonic Brothers.
