Patsy A. Bettis, 69 of Batesville died Thursday, July 13, 2017. She was born June 4, 1948 at Evening Shade, Arkansas to Elbert Arson and Reba (Qualls) Taylor. She retired from the White River Regional Library and after retirement volunteered at the White River Medical Center Auxiliary Gift Shop. She also served as secretary on the White River Medical Center Auxiliary Board. She was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Arson Taylor and Clifton Taylor. Survivors include her husband of 51 years Gary Bettis of the home; two daughters, Christy Sims and husband Aaron of Duluth, Georgia and Casey Gardner and husband Jon of San Diego, California; two brothers, Garland Taylor of Searcy and Johnny Taylor of Evening Shade; one granddaughter, Jessica Gardner of San Diego, California and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery located at Evening Shade. Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Andy Sherrill, Donnie Goudeau, Dale Finley, Mike Sharp, Mike Cushman and Paul Mitchell.
