Russell “Rusty” Lamons age 55 of Floral died Saturday, August 5, 2017. He was born May 21, 1962 at St. Charles, Missouri to Denver and Bonnie Sue (Loyd) Lamons. He worked many years at GDX Automotive in Batesville and most recently worked as an Electronics Technician in the oil field industry. He was a member of the Mountain Top Cowboy Church in Heber Springs. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Lamons and his grandparents, Lester and Docia Lamons and Cecil and Jewel Loyd. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Kim (Gay) Lamons of the home; sons, Justin Lamons of Salado and Jason Lamons and fiancé Randi Worm of Conway; his father, Denver Lamons of Floral; brothers, Randy Lamons of Desha and Ricky Lamons of Floral; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro Wyatt Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kyler Cemetery located at Southside. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kevin Gay, Bevin Gay, Robert Cox, Chuck Mason, Joey Barber and Greg Raymond. Honorary pallbearers are all friends and co-workers in the oil field.
