Jerry Strother, 77 of the Hutchinson Mountain Community died Friday, August 11, 2017. He was born January 6, 1940 to Oscar Lee and Della (May) Strother. He was an equipment operator for Daniels Construction for several years and a member of the Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ. He was a great husband and father and loved all his family very much. He also had a love for animals. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Dwayne Strother; a sister Betty Jo Scoggin and a nephew, Carl Dwight Strother. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Eloise Strother of the home; sons, Scott Strother (Penny) and Jeff Strother (Debbie) both of the Hutchinson Mountain Community; daughter, Vicky Bowren (Barry) of Floral; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friend. Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Palestine Cemetery located in the Hutchinson Mountain Community. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Monday, August 14, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers are Royce Wilson, Dr. David Johnson, Jody Loggins, Keith Goodman, Bill Grady and Andy Galloway.
