Lois Rounds Penn

Lois Rounds Penn, 89 of Batesville died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at her home. She was born August 26, 1927 at Batesville, Arkansas to William Jackson Elisha and Nancy Jane (Smith) Rounds. She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith-Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Clay Penn Sr.; two brothers, Hubert Rounds and Jack Rounds and four sisters, Maude Minard, Pearl Petree, Rachel Hix and Myrtle Lancaster. Survivors include son, John Clay Penn Jr.; daughter, Linda Carol Penn; granddaughters, Terri Adkins and Lisa McCord all of Batesville and Julie Granier of Sulphur Rock; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with Rev. Wayne Wood, Rev. Alan Meinzer and Rev. Rian Puckett officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. No visitation is planned.
