Bobby VanWinkle

Bobby VanWinkle, 73 of Cave City died Thursday, September 7, 2017. He was born January 12, 1944 at Nelsonville, Arkansas to Gaither and Lessie (Hughes) VanWinkle. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lloyd VanWinkle, W.S. VanWinkle and twin brother, Billy VanWinkle and sisters, Lois Stevens, Mildred Cawvey and Buhton Simpson. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Linda VanWinkle of the home; son, Rudy VanWinkle (Telisa) of Poughkeepsie; daughters, Mistina Simpson (Shannon) of Mt. Pleasant and Julie Sandy (Tommy) of Batesville; sisters, Clara Simmons of Florida, Francis McCrackin of Mountain Home and Theda Ely of Indiana; grandchildren, Corey Simpson (Tara), Erica Simpson, Madalyn VanWinkle, Claire Sandy and Andrea Davis; great grandson, Dawson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ with Troy Henley and Marc Walling officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cave City Church of Christ or Dr. Mark Williams Angel Wing Fund.
