Alan R. Chambers

Alan R. Chambers, 70 of Batesville died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home. He was born May 27, 1947 in Wenatchee, Washington to Leonard and Maxine (Vickery) Chambers. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps and also served in the U.S. Navy. He was a beloved father and grandfather, enjoyed reading and was proud to have served his country. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lee Chambers. Survivors include son, Scott Chambers of Memphis, Tennessee; daughters, Susanna Stegall of Mississippi and Jennifer Holder of Locust Grove; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
