Russell Camden, 82 of Smithville died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his home. He was born November 10, 1935 at Black Rock, Arkansas to Taylor and Ida Mae Goforth Camden. He was a retired meat manager for Lucky Stores in California, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of First Church UPC in Batesville. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Cecil Camden, Willard Camden, Clinton Camden and Carl Camden; five sisters, Roxanne Hammond, Leona Alexander, Myrtle Mooney, Lorene Bowers and Retha Owens and a granddaughter, Katelyn Seibert. Survivors include one son, Kevin Camden of Batesville; two daughters, Tina Camden and Teresa Camden both of Macon, Missouri; one stepson, Randall Everett of Concord; one sister, Eileen Skelton of Bonne Terre, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, December 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church UPC in Batesville with Rev. Michael Parmley and Rev. Chris Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service. Visitation will be Monday, December 4, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be McKinley Brown, Aaron Dowell, Jonathan Abbott, Jim Birkhead, Wesley Wren Jr. and Gary Lee Britten. Honorary pallbearers are Wesley Wren Sr. and Roy Skelton.
