Kathryn Rose, 87 of Cave City died Monday, December 11, 2017. She was born September 30, 1930 at Cave City, Arkansas to Lalandide and Ethel Lewis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church at Cave City. Kathryn was a loving wife, mother and Memaw to her grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to preaching and gospel music on her radio every Sunday morning. She was a wonderful cook and loved having family dinners. She was also an excellent seamstress. She also liked watching westerns, game shows and old country music on T.V. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, C.E. “Pat” Rose; brothers, Stanley Lewis and Rodney Lewis and sister, Jean Lewis Mobley. Survivors include sons, Gary Rose (Beth) of Salina, Tennessee and James Rose (Teressa) of Cave City; daughter, Kathy Gibbs of Batesville; grandchildren, Shawn Rose (Tonya) of Strawberry, Dustin Rose (Billie) of Cave City and Dana Irwin (Steve) of Holland, Ohio; great grandchildren, A.J. Irwin, Jarrett Irwin, Josh Irwin, Colton Rose, Clayton Rose, Alivia Rose and Greyson Rose; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Howard Brewer and Bro. Reggie Walling officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery located east of Cave City. Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James Rose, Gary Rose, Shawn Rose, Dustin Rose, Dwayne Mobley and Van D. Sawyer. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Brinkley and Butch Crafton.
