Annie “Leona” Davis, age 81 of Salado, left this world on Thursday, January 25, 2018. She was born May 12, 1936 at Charlotte, Arkansas to Carl and Vela Ball. Leona was a member of the Swaim Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for 51 years, where she served as pianist. Her happiest times were when she was with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rexel Davis. Survivors include her children, Danny (Karen) Davis of Pleasant Plains, Janet (Terry) Canard of Huff and Randel (Sandra) Davis of Sulphur Rock; grandchildren, Jeremy Canard, Randy Canard, Tanna Davis, Erin Beth Hays, Andrew Davis and Braxton Davis; great grandchildren, Sydney Canard, Jacob Canard,Tenley Hays and Macy Canard; sister, Wilma Layton of Mountain Home; and a host of other relatives and good friends. Funeral services will be Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Swaim Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Swan and Bro. Rian Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the Egner Cemetery located at Salado with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Canard, Randy Canard, Andrew Davis, Matt Hays, Braxton Davis, Jacob Canard, Randell Crabtree and Rick Roberson. Honorary pallbearers are all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
