Larry Manual Sharp, 62 of Evening Shade died Monday, March 12, 2018. He was born September 27, 1955 at Flint, Michigan to Laddie and Alla Jean (Berry) Sharp. He was a farmer, a former detective for the Pocahontas Police Department, a former Sharp County Deputy and was employed by Arkansas Eastman for several years. He also received the Nightingale Nursing Award upon completion of the Ozarka College LPN Program. He was a member of the Evening Shade United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother; his wife, Linda Rivers Sharp; a brother, Arthur David Sharp and a sister, Veronica Jean Sharp. Survivors include one son, John Sharp and one daughter, Rebecca Sharp both of Batesville; his father, Laddie Sharp of Evening Shade; step-daughter, Emma Miller of Olive Branch Mississippi; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, March 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Larry Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery located at Evening Shade. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jim Shands, Everett Shands, Dewey McFarlin, Dean Batterton, Jimmy Wallace, Mike Graddy, Rick Qualls and Dowl Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Gordon Hale, Dwight Sharp, William Sharp and Donald Sharp.
