Alfred Matthew Bennett

Alfred Matthew Bennett, 87, of Spring Mill passed away Monday, July 15, 2024 in Batesville. He was born February 6, 1937 in Tennessee to William Harris Bennett and Rose Bennett.

He was a carpenter. He enjoyed repairing and fixing up bikes, fishing, yard sales, going to auctions, and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Alfred Mathhew Bennett Jr; two sisters, Juanita and Grace; and his wife Tressie Bennett.

Survivors include his girlfriend Mildred Middleton, two sons, Brian Bennett and William Bennett, both of Mishawaka, Indiana; one daughter, Pam Hahaj of Nappanee, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service chapel.
