Alvis Ted Sharp, 88 of Concord died Saturday, March 14, 2020. He was born June 12, 1931 in Banner, Arkansas to Ted and Ella Sharp. He was a retired mechanic and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Banner. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ray Sharp and sister, Betty Reed.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Lois Valenia Osborn Sharp of the home; one son, Arvin Sharp of Drasco; one daughter, Teresa Murrell (Kirk) of Drasco; three brothers, Bob Sharp (Barbara) of Banner, Larry Sharp (Betty) and Garry Sharp (Darla) both of Concord; four sisters, Evalee Altom of Concord, Juanita Sharp of Franklin, Kentucky, Rose Davidson of Floral and Anna Mae Cooper of Concord; five grandchildren, Shawn Roland Sharp, Dawn Marie Sharp, Kelly Dalois McPike, Danuel Lynn Warden and Kaleb Tyrel Murrell; six great grandchildren, Brianna, Hunter, Destin, Jesse, Adalynn and Simon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Banner. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Floral with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Sharp, Tyrel Murrell, Kirk Murrell, Skyler Sutter, Evan Warden and Aaron McPike.
