Arden Ray Perkey, 90 of Cave City passed away, Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He was born January 17, 1932 in Center, Arkansas to James Arden and Ella Parthenia Perkey. He was retired from Cushman Sawmill and Conway Sawmill; was a U. S. Army Korean War Veteran and of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, fishing and looking for arrowheads.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Della Hutchison Perkey; one son, Randy Perkey; three brothers, Delmos Perkey, Corbitt Perkey and Jerry Perkey and three sisters, Virginia Beasley, Willene Ray and infant sister, Carrie Perkey.
Survivors include four sons, Rickey Perkey, Gary Perkey, Alvin Perkey and Nathan Perkey all of Cave City; two sisters, Betty Spehr of Lansing, Michigan and Lisa Abernathy (Howard) of Cave City; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Allen Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery at Cave City.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Coleman, Howard Abernathy, Robert Weaver, Dale Weaver, Buddy Justice and Tyron Gilliam.
Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Ray, Jimmy Ray, David Perkey, Gilbert McCracken and Erbie Perkey.
